How to Play Barker Bill's Trick Shooting
Quick start
Connect or enable the Zapper input, select Balloon Saloon first and begin by aiming at the centre of each balloon. You have three bullets per balloon, so avoid rapid blind firing. Never shoot the dog or bird, and take a diamond whenever it appears to restore a credit. In Flying Saucers, wait until two plates overlap for the valuable double hit only if the shot is safe. Move to Fun Follies after learning each separate target rule.
Controls
Zapper trigger fires at on-screen targets; on original NES hardware the Zapper connects to controller socket 2. Controller 1 uses SELECT to move the flashing frame between modes and START to begin or pause. The D-Pad, A and B are unused. You can also shoot away from the screen to change the highlighted mode, then shoot the screen to start it.
Barker Bill's Trick Shooting — About this game
Barker Bill's Trick Shooting is a light-gun carnival game with four modes: Balloon Saloon, Flying Saucers, Window Pains and Fun Follies. Players shoot balloons, plates and other valid targets for points while avoiding the dog, birds, the assistant or other penalty objects. A run begins with ten credits; missed requirements or forbidden hits remove credits, while occasional diamonds add one up to the maximum. Rounds become faster and busier, and the mixed Fun Follies mode adds bonus routines and combines earlier target types. The European cartridge requires a compatible Zapper setup on original hardware, while an emulator needs working light-gun or pointer emulation.
