How to Play Barker Bill's Trick Shooting
Quick start
Set up the Zapper or emulator pointer, highlight Balloon Saloon and start. Aim carefully because each balloon allows only three bullets, and avoid the dog even when it crosses a target. Shoot diamonds for extra credits. In Flying Saucers, higher hits score more and one shot through two plates earns a bonus, but do not hit the bird. Learn all three individual galleries before attempting Fun Follies, where their rules are mixed together.
Controls
Use the Zapper trigger to shoot targets; connect it to controller port 2 on original hardware. On controller 1, SELECT changes the highlighted game mode and START begins or pauses. D-Pad, A and B are not used. Shooting away from the screen also cycles the mode, and shooting at the screen while the desired frame flashes starts that game.
Barker Bill's Trick Shooting — About this game
The North American Barker Bill's Trick Shooting cartridge presents four NES Zapper galleries. Balloon Saloon challenges the player to stop rising balloons without hitting the familiar dog; Flying Saucers rewards plates shot higher in their arc and offers a bonus for a double hit; Window Pains uses targets appearing behind windows; and Fun Follies combines routines with additional carnival acts. Every game starts with ten credits. Letting a required target escape, exhausting the allowed shots or hitting a protected character costs a credit, while shooting a diamond can restore one. Rounds continue toward 99 with faster, denser patterns, so accuracy and knowing which objects are off-limits matter more than firing as quickly as possible.
