How to Play Best of the Best: Championship Karate

Quick start

Before the first serious match, visit training and select a balanced eight-move preset. In the ring, allow each animation to finish, use Down defensively, and alternate techniques instead of repeating one attack. Save the generated password after useful training or tournament progress so a loss does not force you to rebuild the same session.

Controls

In menus, the D-pad changes options and A confirms. During a match, Left/Right adjusts distance, Down ducks or defends, and A or B combined with one of eight D-pad directions performs a move from the selected set. Start pauses; Select exits the current option, fight, or training sequence. Input response is deliberately slow, so press once and watch the move complete.

Best of the Best: Championship Karate — About this game

Best of the Best: Championship Karate is a methodical NES fighting game centered on building a kickboxer rather than jumping straight into an arcade bracket. Menus let you train strength, resistance, and reflexes, choose one of the available eight-move presets, preview opponents, and preserve progress with passwords. In the ring, directional inputs and attack buttons call selected techniques with noticeable commitment, so varying attacks and reading distance is safer than mashing one move.
