How to Play Best of the Best: Championship Karate

Quick start

Train each core attribute before taking on the ladder, then choose a move preset you can remember. During matches, tap a command once, wait for the animation, and vary high and low attacks so the opponent cannot settle into a counter. Use the password menu after productive sessions and reload it if you want to preserve hard-earned progress.

Controls

The D-pad navigates menus, and A selects an option. In a fight, Left/Right changes spacing, Down ducks or blocks, and A or B plus a D-pad direction triggers a technique from the current eight-move set. Start pauses. Select backs out of a menu activity, match, or training event; avoid queuing extra inputs during the game's slow animations.

Best of the Best: Championship Karate — About this game

Best of the Best: Championship Karate combines one-on-one NES fighting with a training and progression layer. You prepare a named fighter in gym activities, pick an eight-move preset from the Select Hits menu, challenge ranked opponents, and use passwords to restore progress. Combat favors deliberate directional techniques and defense: actions have a long response window, opponents adapt to repeated attacks, and losses can reduce the attributes earned in training.
