How to Play Trolls in Crazyland, The
Quick start
On stage one, test a tap and a held press of A so you understand the two jump heights before committing to moving platforms. Fire with B from outside an enemy's contact range, and do not treat the stronger attack gained after damage as a reason to rush: the final color state is one hit from death. In roller-coaster stages, watch the track and on-screen jump warnings, press A before broken sections, and reserve B turbo for stretches where you can already see a safe landing.
Controls
D-pad: move and adjust position. A: jump; hold it for a higher jump. B: attack during ordinary stages; activate turbo during roller-coaster stages. START: pause or resume. SELECT: unused during play. On coaster stages, A also changes tracks or clears missing rail sections when timed at hills and jump warnings.
Trolls in Crazyland, The — About this game
The Trolls in Crazyland is the European NES adaptation of Doki! Doki! Yūenchi, with the lead character, story, and some graphics redesigned around Troll dolls. The underlying single-player platform adventure remains intact: cross amusement-park scenery, jungles, waterways, moving rides, and surreal later areas while defeating durable enemies and stage bosses. Taking damage changes the hero's color and strengthens the projectile pattern, but the fourth hit costs a life and health resets at each new stage. Two roller-coaster stages replace the normal attack with a turbo function, making jump timing and track reading more important than combat.
