How to Play Dragon's Rock
Quick start
Press START, select Julia or Julius and begin the first exercise for the big dragon test. Run to the right, overcome the initial jumps and defeat small enemies with the initial burst of fire until you reach the goal. The adventure spans 16 stages across four environments and unlocks more powerful fire types. Collect hearts after hits and search for hidden bonuses above or behind platforms. Memorize the effects of the four types of shots and switch to scatter or flame attacks if the straight burst isn't enough.
Controls
D-pad moves the dragon, causing it to crouch and line up the attack if the section allows it. A jumps and confirms. B spews the selected fire type and cancels menus. L/R switch between the four unlocked shot types. START paused. Hold one direction as you jump to control the landing. The selected fire type appears in the display; additional variants will be unlocked as the Dragon Trial progresses.
