How to Play Castle of Dragon
Quick start
Before advancing, tap B to see exactly how far the sword reaches and test A's landing distance. Let enemies approach the weapon tip rather than overlapping Duke, because contact can drain health quickly. Press START in a safe spot to learn the weapon order; use the knife against distant threats and avoid swinging the mace repeatedly unless its speed will prevent more damage than it costs. Build the blue experience meter, keep the console session active after a loss, and collect all four relics before choosing the final area.
Controls
D-pad Left/Right: walk. D-pad Down: crouch and block high attacks or flying enemies. A: jump. B: attack with the current weapon. START: change among collected weapons. SELECT: pause or resume. With no directional input Duke can block some medium-height attacks; crouching changes the guard height, so use defensive posture and spacing instead of button mashing.
Castle of Dragon — About this game
Castle of Dragon is a single-player NES action game in which Duke Geraden fights through Offeria to rescue Princess Amoreena and break the Dragon Master's rule. Combat is deliberately measured: the sword has moderate close-range power, throwing knives trade damage for safety, and the mace strikes repeatedly but drains Duke's own life. Defeated enemies fill a blue experience gauge; each full gauge increases the maximum red health meter. Some weapons and that growth can remain after a game over as long as the system stays powered. Four later areas award relics that reduce danger and permit the full final confrontation, where the basic sword becomes essential again.
