How to Play Elevator Action
Quick start
Select a one- or two-player game and press Start. Stop on the white square in front of each red door to enter and take its file; a missed file prevents escape. Stand inside an elevator and press Up or Down to drive it, but watch both the shaft and the ceiling. Duck under shots, use B at range, and jump-kick with A when a guard is close. Once every file is collected, descend to the garage and reach the getaway car.
Controls
D-pad Left/Right: walk; Up: stand, take an escalator up, or move an occupied elevator upward; Down: duck, take an escalator down, or move an occupied elevator downward. A: jump/jump-kick. B: shoot. Select: choose one or two players. Start: begin the selected game; during play, pause and resume.
Elevator Action — About this game
Elevator Action puts Agent 17, code name Otto, on the roof of a heavily guarded enemy building. The mission is to descend floor by floor, enter every red door to recover secret documents, and escape in the car waiting below. Guards emerge from blue doors and fire from multiple levels, while elevators can transport, crush, or strand anyone caught in the wrong place. Otto can duck beneath bullets, shoot with a three-round on-screen limit, perform a jump kick, and drop overhead lamps. This entry is the 1987 US NES cartridge and uses the terminology and controls documented in its American manual.
