How to Play Thunder & Lightning
Quick start
Move Mr. Chin with Left and Right and press A to launch the opening ball. Hold B with the D-pad only when you need to cross the screen quickly, then release B for precise positioning. Keep the ball alive before chasing drops; Long, Slow and 1-Up are dependable early choices.
Controls
D-pad Left/Right: move Mr. Chin and his stick. A: release the ball at a wall's start, relaunch a ball held by the Glove, or fire missiles while that power-up is active. Hold B + Left/Right: run faster. Start: pause.
Thunder & Lightning — About this game
Family Block is the Japanese Famicom release of the Breakout-style action game later titled Thunder & Lightning in North America. Mr. Chin moves beneath the playfield and rebounds the Demoe Ball with a stick held above his head. Thirty walls introduce enemies, unbreakable obstacles and passing vehicles that drop effects such as Long, Slow, Big, missiles and multiball. Careful normal-speed positioning matters as much as using the fast-movement button to cross the screen.
