How to Play Rock 'n Ball
Quick start
Choose the Pac-Man table first and learn the split flipper layout: Left on the D-pad works the left flipper and A works the right. Use B or D-pad Right to nudge only when the ball is drifting toward an outlane. Move on to Nine Ball for target play, Battle for direct competition, and Sports when you are ready for mode-specific rotating flippers and goalkeeping.
Controls
D-pad Left: left flipper; A: right flipper; B: nudge table left; D-pad Right: nudge table right. In Battle Flipper, D-pad Up/Down launches or retracts the special flipper. Sports tables add mode-specific rotation and goalkeeper actions described by the cited manual.
Rock 'n Ball — About this game
Family Pinball is the Japanese Famicom version of the game later localized as Rock 'n Ball. Its four main styles range from a conventional Pac-Man-themed scoring table to target-based Nine Ball, competitive Battle Flipper, and goal-oriented Sports Pinball with soccer and hockey ideas. Each changes more than the artwork: objectives, special flippers, and two-player pressure reshape how the ball should be controlled. This Japanese build retains Namco and Pac-Man imagery removed from the US edition.
