How to Play World Class Track Meet
Quick start
Configure the Japanese Family Trainer mat on Side B and practice the 100 Meter Dash. Wait for the start signal, then alternate the active pair of panels. Lift both feet before hurdles and step down to resume running. For Long Jump, leave the mat at the line; for Triple Jump, repeat the takeoff and landing sequence twice before the final leap. Do not map generic A/B controls unless the emulator explicitly exposes mat inputs that way.
Controls
Family Trainer Side B: alternate two adjacent active panels to run; release both to jump and press again to land. Solo Dash and Hurdles use the left control area, while player two uses the right. Solo Long Jump and Triple Jump can use either control area.
World Class Track Meet — About this game
Family Trainer 2: Running Stadium is the Japanese Famicom origin of Stadium Events. Using Side B of the Family Trainer mat, players race the 100 Meter Dash, clear 110 Meter Hurdles, and time takeoffs in the Long Jump and Triple Jump. Rapid alternating steps determine speed, while leaving the mat creates an on-screen leap. The Japanese cartridge predates the European Family Fun Fitness and North American Power Pad branding, so emulator setup should select an input profile compatible with the original Family Trainer hardware.
