Demon Sword — About this game

Fudō Myōō Den is the original Japanese Famicom version later adapted as Demon Sword. Ashura Nahata runs and leaps through extended stages, fights with the seven-branched sword and thrown weapons, enters hidden gates, and collects automatic or selectable magic. This release contains six stages removed from the North American edition, along with additional enemies, spells, Buddhist imagery, story material, and a different password presentation. Its harsher damage system consumes a substitution dummy when the hero is struck.
