Demon Sword — About this game
Demon Sword is the North American NES adaptation of Fudō Myōō Den. Victar moves through three two-level worlds and a seventh final stage, defeating each boss to restore pieces of the broken sword. Sword reach, dart speed and strength, life capacity, keys, rescue items, and special magic can be improved along the route. Compared with the Japanese Famicom game, this edition removes six stages and several enemies or spells, rewrites the story, gives Victar a visible life meter, and hides password access behind title-screen button sequences.
