How to Play Galaxy 5000: Racing in the 51st Century
Quick start
Choose Alpha controls for the easiest first race. Steer with the D-pad, jump with A, and fire with B. Reach the finish before the timer expires and learn track shortcuts. Afterward, repair handling damage before spending the remainder on upgrades. Switch to Beta only if turn-and-thrust steering feels more natural.
Controls
Alpha: D-pad moves directly in any direction. Beta: Left/Right rotate and Up accelerates. A: jump. B: fire. Start or A: confirm/start; Start pauses during racing.
Galaxy 5000: Racing in the 51st Century — About this game
Galaxy 5000: Racing in the 51st Century combines overhead racing with vehicle combat. Four armored turbocraft fight for the finish on hazardous courses that advance from Mercury toward Pluto. A jump button clears ramps and barriers, weapons disrupt opponents, and prize money pays for repairs, equipment, and stronger vehicles. Damage affects later handling, so surviving cleanly matters as much as winning. The US cartridge includes solo progression, two-player Mercury races, and a choice between direct Alpha movement and rotational Beta steering.
