How to Play ATP Tour
Quick start
Press Start, then choose Exhibition Match for a quick game or Begin ATP Tour to create a player and begin a career. New players should switch on the Ball Bounce Pointer in Options so the next bounce is marked on court. Get into position early, choose a flat stroke for speed, a slice for a low trajectory, or a lob when the opponent closes the net. When creating a tour player, place the ten initial points into the serve, return and court skills that suit your intended style.
Controls
The direction pad moves the player and directs serves or volleys. A or C confirms menu choices and B cancels. During a rally, A produces a low-trajectory slice and lobs on a volley, B gives a high-bouncing shot, and C strikes a flat, hard ball or hard volley; each button also tosses the ball and selects the corresponding serve. Start pauses after a point and accesses Replay. Play cannot be paused after the serve toss while the ball remains live.
