How to Play George Foreman's KO Boxing
Quick start
Choose One Player with Up/Down and confirm with Start. During the fight, use short Left/Right movements to slip away from incoming blows and hold Down when a punch cannot be avoided. Alternate A and B so attacks come from both sides; add Up for quicker jabs and watch the opponent rather than throwing continuously into a guard. When the glove counter shows a stored special, press Select only after creating an opening, because a blocked superpunch wastes the opportunity. If Foreman is knocked down, press A and B rapidly to make him rise before the count ends. Surviving all three rounds can still earn a decision, so protect the energy lead rather than chasing every knockout.
Controls
Up/Down on menus: choose an option; Start confirms. In a bout, Left/Right shifts Foreman sideways to dodge, Down blocks, A throws a right punch, Up+A throws a right jab, B throws a left punch, and Up+B throws a left jab. Select uses one available superpunch. Press A and B rapidly after a knockdown to stand up. Start skips opening screens, begins a fight, and pauses or resumes. On the password screen, Select changes the central number, the D-pad selects a position, and A enters that number.
George Foreman's KO Boxing — About this game
George Foreman's KO Boxing places the camera behind the player's boxer and follows the veteran heavyweight through a championship tournament. Each bout can last up to three three-minute rounds, with energy bars showing how close either fighter is to a knockdown. Foreman can shift sideways to evade, guard his body, alternate left and right punches, convert the same buttons into jabs with Up, and spend a limited superpunch when the glove indicator is available. A boxer loses by failing to rise, by suffering three knockdowns in one round or four across the full bout, while a completed three-round fight goes to a points decision based on damage and knockdowns. The game also includes passwords for later opponents and a simultaneous two-player mode with fixed fighters.
