How to Play George Foreman's KO Boxing

Quick start

Select One Player with Up/Down and press Start. Do not open by mashing attacks: move Left or Right to test the opponent's timing, use Down to block, then answer with A or B. Add Up when a jab is more useful than a standard punch. The glove icon counts stored superpunches; press Select when the opponent has just committed to an attack or dropped his guard. If your energy reaches zero and Foreman falls, tap A and B rapidly to recover before the referee finishes counting. Three knockdowns in a round or four in the bout end the contest, so staying upright can matter more than landing one extra punch.

Controls

Menu: Up/Down moves the choice and Start confirms. Fight: Left/Right moves sideways to avoid punches; Down blocks; A is a right punch; Up+A is a right jab; B is a left punch; Up+B is a left jab; Select spends a superpunch when one is available. After a knockdown, press A and B rapidly to get back up. Start starts the bout and pauses/resumes. Password entry uses Select to change the center digit, the D-pad to choose a surrounding slot, and A to place the digit.

George Foreman's KO Boxing — About this game

George Foreman's KO Boxing turns the heavyweight's comeback into a sequence of championship bouts viewed over his shoulders. Foreman moves laterally rather than roaming freely around the ring, so success depends on reading an opponent, slipping sideways, blocking the body, and answering with the correct left or right punch. Holding Up changes a normal blow into a jab, while Select spends a superpunch shown by the glove counter. Every fight runs for no more than three three-minute rounds. A failure to rise ends the match, as do three knockdowns in one round or four over the entire bout; otherwise the game awards a decision from damage and knockdowns. Championship progress can be resumed by password, and a separate two-player option assigns Foreman to player one and Luciano to player two.
