How to Play Godzilla: Monster of Monsters!
Quick start
Press Start, pick New Game, and move the white cursor onto Godzilla or Mothra. Press A to select, use the D-pad to choose a legal connected route, and press A again to set it; B cancels. Godzilla can cross two hexes in one turn, Mothra four, and the enemy moves after you. Learn early projectile patterns with Mothra's flight, but keep Godzilla active so his Life and Power can grow for later duels. Clear hazards instead of letting repeated knockback trap you at the left edge. Whenever the white cursor is visible on a Ring Field, press Select to show the current password and copy it before ending play.
Controls

Mothra: D-pad flies in eight directions, A or B eye beam, Start poisonous powder using Power, Select pause. The official manual places both characters' special attacks on Start. This is the original Monster of Monsters control set, not Godzilla 2.
Godzilla: Monster of Monsters! — About this game
The North American NES release of Godzilla: Monster of Monsters! sends Godzilla and Mothra from Earth through seven more Ring Fields on the way to Planet X. A turn begins on a hex map: choose one allied monster, plot a route, then clear an action stage for every terrain space crossed. When an enemy monster reaches the same area, the format changes to a timed side-view duel. Godzilla's punches, kicks, tail chop, and atomic breath provide heavier offense, while Mothra's four-hex range, flight, eye beams, and poisonous powder offer mobility. Score and combat experience increase Life and Power through levels. The password screen records both friendly and enemy states, giving the long campaign a practical way to continue without confusing it with the separate strategy sequel Godzilla 2.
