How to Play Hayauchi Super Igo
Quick start
Choose Match Dojo, open settings with Select, set a 13×13 computer game and handicap, then press Start. Move with the D-pad and place with A; B undoes only in the dojo. Continue right beyond the board to enter the command panel for pass or resignation. At the end, mark dead stones honestly before confirming the count. Record campaign passwords between matches. Because Rev 1's patch contents are unknown, begin with the same verified interface and Go strategy as the original release rather than expecting an undocumented shortcut or balance change.
Controls
D-pad: cursor and commands; continue Right beyond the board to open the panel. A: place/confirm. B: undo only in Match Dojo. Select: dojo settings. Start: begin, with no pause. During scoring, mark dead stones with the D-pad and A. These are shared-manual controls; no Rev 1-specific input change is documented.
Hayauchi Super Igo — About this game
Hayauchi Super Igo (Rev 1) is cataloged separately from the unmarked Japanese program, establishing it as an cataloged revision, but no public change log or revision-specific manual explains what was altered. The shared product manual supports the established modes and controls: Honinbo and Ranking campaigns continue by password, while Match Dojo configures board size, computer or two-player play, color, and handicap. The cursor moves beyond the board's right edge to pass or resign, and the player marks dead stones manually before territory is counted. Nothing reliable shows that Rev 1 changes artificial intelligence, strength, timing, graphics, or scoring, so those differences are not claimed here.
