How to Play Heavy Shreddin'

Quick start

Begin at the trail map with START, then practice the two riding postures: Right gains speed in a tuck and Left stands you up. Use Up/Down to pick a clear line. A clears small bumps; B gets under low obstructions. Learn Toe Grab and Mule-Kick before the larger mogul fields, and read the half-pipe prompt instead of performing an arbitrary trick.

Controls

Up/Down: aim the board while standing, or steer toward the top/bottom while tucked. Right: tuck and accelerate; Left: stand upright. B: duck beneath obstacles. A: jump; A+Up: Toe Grab, A+Down: Hand-Plant, A+Right: Mid-Air 360, A+Left: Mule-Kick. START: start a run or pause; SELECT: select a new game.

Heavy Shreddin' — About this game

Heavy Shreddin’ builds its championship around changing demands rather than a single race format. A fast downhill line is only the beginning: slalom requires every gate, the half-pipe calls for specific moves, and mogul fields demand more than an ordinary jump. Backwoods then mixes the lessons with fences, water, trees and other obstacles. Five event types make up 18 stages. Four starting lives leave little room for repeated crashes, although completing a trail adds a life. The American release uses the Heavy Shreddin’ name; its European counterpart is called Snowboard Challenge.
