How to Play Ufouria: The Saga
Quick start
Select START on the title menu and confirm with the START button. Learn the downward stomp immediately: jump with A, then hold down as you land on an enemy. Pick up a Popoon with B and press B again to throw it. Defeat a prospective companion to recruit them, then use SELECT to switch and revisit terrain suited to their abilities. Collect the crystal so the select screen can show a password, and record it before leaving the game.
Controls
Left/right moves; down lies flat, up stands, and up/down climbs ropes. A jumps; hold down while airborne to stomp. B picks up or throws a Popoon. With a character's special item, hold B until the hearts merge, then press B to use the attack. SELECT opens the selection screen; use the D-pad to choose, SELECT to confirm/return, and A to use an available item. START pauses/resumes. After obtaining suction cups, Hebe climbs by pressing toward a wall and tapping A; Jennifer swims underwater by tapping A.
Ufouria: The Saga — About this game
Hebe falls into a dimensional rift after a war tears his world apart. His journey home becomes an interconnected platform adventure: new companions and tools let you revisit obstacles that were previously impassable. This Japanese release retains Hebe, O-chan, Sukezaemon, and Jennifer rather than the European localization's replacement cast. Stomp enemies by pressing down in the air, then use the Popoons they leave as thrown weapons. Each ally opens different routes, while three colored keys eventually grant access to the temple.
