Ivan 'Ironman' Stewart's Super Off Road — About this game
The European NES edition of Ivan 'Ironman' Stewart's Super Off Road puts the whole dirt circuit on screen, so positioning matters as much as speed. Four trucks race at once, with the computer filling unused places, and the first to finish four laps ends the race. Mud, jumps and tight corners interrupt a clean line; nitro can help regain momentum, but each boost uses a unit. Winnings fund tires, shocks, acceleration, top speed or more nitro in the Speed Shop. Eight tracks are used in both directions for sixteen configurations. Original NES hardware supports up to four simultaneous players with a compatible Four Score or NES Satellite adapter; this is not the arcade or SNES player setup.
