How to Play Yo! Noid
Quick start
Press START at the title to begin. On the opening wharf, move carefully between the rising and falling platforms and watch for fish jumping from the water. Use A to jump, holding it longer for more height, and B to send out the yo-yo. Hit a large scroll open for a spell symbol, then gather scrolls for magic power. Down + B casts when both requirements are met. Collect the special card icons along the route to help with the pizza contest after the action round.
Controls
Left/right moves the Noid; up/down climbs where climbing is available. A jumps, with a longer hold giving more height; left/right also adjusts position in the air. B attacks with the yo-yo, and A+B allows an attack while jumping. Down + B casts the acquired magic spell if the power meter can pay for it. START starts the game and toggles pause during play. Special vehicle sections change how the Noid moves and attacks, so do not rely on the normal yo-yo there.
Yo! Noid — About this game
Yo! Noid reworks the adventure around Domino's mascot and the trouble caused by his look-alike, Mr. Green, in New York. The Noid moves from waterfront platforms to parks, rooftops and airborne sections, using his yo-yo wherever normal attacks are available. Jump height depends on how long A is held, and scrolls supply magic power; large scrolls can be hit open to reveal a spell symbol. You need both that symbol and enough power to cast. Between action rounds, pizza contests use numbered cards and modifiers, with the higher total earning the difference in pizzas toward the required amount. That food contest and the New York cast replace the Japanese game's ninja story and damage-based boss duels.
