How to Play Twin Cobra
Quick start
Press START to launch. Use the Control Pad to dodge and B to fire; A deploys a bomb. Take S items to improve your shot and choose colored saucers for a different weapon. Don't risk a powered-up helicopter just to collect a star. If you run out of helicopters, choose YES with the Control Pad and press A within ten seconds to spend a continue. START pauses and resumes play.
Controls
Control Pad: move the helicopter. B: fire cannons. A: drop a bomb. START: begin or pause/resume. SELECT: not used. On the continue screen, select YES with the Control Pad and confirm with A within ten seconds. Note that the American NES shot and bomb buttons differ from the Japanese Famicom release.
Twin Cobra — About this game
Twin Cobra sends a lone helicopter from its carrier into a campaign against enemy aircraft, tanks and warships. Floating saucers change the main weapon, offering different firing patterns, while S superchargers raise its power. Deciding whether a pickup is worth crossing enemy fire is part of the challenge: losing the helicopter means rebuilding its strength. Bombs provide limited backup for dense attacks and tough targets. Destructible obstacles can hide stars, which earn a larger bonus if you retain them until the stage ends; white stars briefly protect you. The American NES campaign has ten zones, with five continues initially and an additional credit earned whenever you clear a stage.
