Maniac Mansion — About this game
Maniac Mansion is an adventure built around a small rescue team rather than a lone hero. Dave needs two friends to help him reach Sandy, and their talents influence how the mansion's puzzles can be solved. You assemble instructions by selecting an action and its target, collect useful objects, and switch between teenagers who may be working in different rooms. Each carries a separate inventory, so an item in the wrong hands can be as important a problem as a locked door. Interludes show events elsewhere in the house and can provide clues about its strange residents. The overseas NES adaptation includes an in-game save menu, letting you keep progress before trying a risky idea.
