How to Play Mario Golf: Advance Tour
Quick start
Choose Story, start a new file, select Neil or Ella and set the character's dominant hand. After meeting Kid, leave the dormitory and follow your partner north to the Marion Club, then complete the opening lessons and practice rounds before entering doubles and singles matches. Learn the normal shot meter first; manual shots and spin are most useful once you can stop the power and accuracy marks consistently.
Controls
Around the academy, the D-pad moves, A talks or confirms, B cancels and can be held to run, and START opens the menu. On the course, the D-pad aims and changes clubs, A starts the meter for a normal/automatic shot, and B starts a manual or power shot. L/R adjust the range marker and SELECT changes the camera. On manual impact, A+A adds topspin, B+B backspin, A then B super topspin, and B then A super backspin; START pauses.
