Play Sports Pad Football (US edition) Online

Sports Pad Football adapts American football to the Sega Sports Pad. Rolling the ball moves the controlled athlete, and faster rolling makes a runner move faster, so ball control affects both route and pace. Before each down you choose a formation, deciding between passing, running and the available kicking option. The offense has four downs to gain ten yards; a failed advance gives possession to the opponent. Aim a pass with the trackball and use 2 to throw, or press 1 to turn the play into a scramble. On defense, close on the carrier to tackle or position near a receiver for an interception. Field-goal and punt availability depend on field position, not just a generic kick button. One player faces the computer, while two Sports Pads allow a head-to-head game. Learn short passes and controlled runs before risking a long throw into coverage.
