How to Play Great Football
Quick start
Press 1 or 2 and select your league and team. When a suitable formation flashes, choose it with 2. Try a short pass, then switch the quarterback to a run with 1 when the route closes.
Controls
D-pad: eight-direction movement; hold 1 or 2 while running, and use directions to aim passes or kicks. 1: scramble. 2: select formation, pass, punt or kick according to the play. On defense, 1 or 2 tackles; 2 also handles interceptions and kick blocks.

Choose a formation and turn four downs into a scoring drive. Great Football plays American football, with passing, running and kicking decisions shaped by field position. Move ten yards to earn another set of downs, or weigh a punt against the chance of a field goal. The defense can tackle, intercept and block kicks, so a passing formation needs a clear route rather than an instant throw. After a touchdown, the conversion offers another scoring opportunity.
