Quick start
Observe the route ahead, practise moving and firing and keep space for the next enemy attack.
Controls
Directions move the R-9. Use the firing action for quick shots and the charge-and-release action for a stronger shot.
R-Type — About this game
R-Type puts a small spacecraft against enemies and machinery that occupy much of its scrolling battlefield. Survival depends on finding room to move while choosing between quick shots and a slower, charged laser. Watch the next opening as well as the enemy in front. Leave room to reposition before lining up another attack, and do not let a single target pull you toward a wall.
