Might and Magic: The Secret of the Inner Sanctum — About this game
The Famicom edition of Might and Magic combines a first-person view with menu-based exploration and encounters. Your travelers need more than strong attacks: food supports recovery, weapons must be equipped, and towns provide training and treatment. The search for the Inner Sanctum leads through settlements, underground routes and wilderness. Mapping helps keep track of explored indoor passages, but darkness prevents those squares from being recorded; the overworld instead shows a broad area map. Saving and changing companions take place at inns. This entry is the Japanese release, with Japanese commands and its own opening controls, not an English translation patch or the PC Engine remake.
