Might and Magic: The Secret of the Inner Sanctum — About this game

Might and Magic on NES is a first-person expedition built around choosing a party, following clues and learning where it is safe to travel. Sorpigal offers an inn, equipment, food and training before the wider land of Varn opens up. Its streets and underground passages conceal more than their first appearance suggests: the official guide points to statues with useful information and a delivery quest below town. Combat uses commands for weapons, missiles, spells and retreat. Surviving is also an exercise in preparation: equip purchases, keep food for camp, and return to town for services. Experience does not remove the need to pay for training, and an inn is the place to save progress.
