Michael Andretti's World GP — About this game
Michael Andretti’s World GP puts car control and race preparation at the center of its NES racing challenge. Sixteen circuits are available in Practice Mode, where Andretti explains the bends before you drive. Four machines offer different handling characteristics, including a Honda with automatic transmission for learning the course without manual shifts. In a manual car, the tachometer helps you judge when to change gear, while the overhead map warns you what comes next. Tires lose grip as they wear, making a well-timed pit stop part of the race rather than a cosmetic extra. Two Player Mode offers direct competition, and Grand Prix Mode combines qualifying with points-based racing across nine levels. Passwords let you return to that longer campaign between rounds.
