Renegade — About this game

The Japanese Famicom game follows Kunio from Nekketsu High School as he searches for his kidnapped friend Hiroshi. Its four stages pit him against Riki's students, Shinji's bikers, Misuzu's group and Sabu's gang. Combat is built around attacking both sides: the button that punches ahead depends on which way Kunio faces, while the other kicks behind him. Stunned opponents open opportunities for knees and throws, and a running attack can break up a group before it surrounds you. Motorcycle fighting changes the pace, and the final area adds a search through connected rooms. This is the Japanese original, not Renegade's redesigned Western cast.
