How to Play Chubby Cherub
Quick start
Use SELECT for 1 player and press START. Walk with Left/Right and jump with B. Collect food before attempting a long flight; with enough power, hold B to take off and steer in eight directions. Press B again to descend. Pick up special candy before using A to fire GAU-GAU shots at dogs. When scrolling stops, look for the scene's required object rather than trying to force your way onward. Keep an eye on both the power meter and clock.
Controls
Left/Right: walk. Control Pad while flying: move in eight directions. B: jump; hold it to begin flying when power permits, or press it again in flight to come down. Down+B drops off roofs and walls. A fires GAU-GAU after special candy; with a bone in a burglar scene, A throws it. SELECT chooses one or two players at the title. START begins, pauses and resumes play.
Chubby Cherub — About this game
Chubby Cherub combines forward-scrolling platforming with an appetite you cannot ignore. Food keeps the angel's power meter alive, but flying drains it faster than walking, turning a seemingly easy shortcut into a resource decision. Special candy supplies a limited number of heart-shaped GAU-GAU shots for driving dogs away. Progress also involves more than reaching the right edge: some scenes stop until you find the required object, and adventures can end with a search behind windows or a rescue from a burglar. The clock adds another constraint as you choose routes over walls and rooftops. This North American version replaces the Japanese Q-Tarou character with an angel, while retaining the combination of food gathering, flight and hazardous errands.
