How to Play Pocket Dogs
Quick start
Press START at the title and choose New Game. Enter your name, gender and the relationship question, then choose one of the eight puppies and name it. In the house, press A to open the Command Panel and start with a conversation so the dog can ask about you. Next play one mini-game to earn Precious Jewels, then exchange them at the shop for furniture, toys, music or outing tickets. Talking, playing, travelling and decorating deepen the friendship, shown by the flower beside the doghouse. Before leaving, use Save on the Command Panel rather than simply switching the system off.
Controls
In menus, use the D-Pad to select, A to confirm and B to cancel. In the house, the D-Pad moves around or selects Command Panel entries; A opens the panel, advances messages and confirms, while B goes back or closes it. START pauses a mini-game and allows Quit. In the block game, select adjacent blocks with the D-Pad and A to swap them; in the sliding picture, press toward the empty space; in treasure hunt, move the cursor with the D-Pad and press A on an X to dig, holding B to move the cursor quickly.
