How to Play Polarium Advance
Quick start
On a fresh file, choose Training—the other play modes remain locked until every lesson is complete. In Basic Rules, move the free cursor with the Control Pad, press A or L to begin one continuous route, trace through the tiles and press A or L again to flip the entire route. Clear the board by making every horizontal row a single color in one stroke; you may use the empty outer frame, but the route cannot cross the same tile twice. Finish the special-tile, skills and additional-control lessons to unlock Stage and Time Attack, then start Daily Polarium to open puzzles in the reference library.
Controls
Control Pad: move the cursor and navigate menus. A or L: confirm; begin a route and then flip all tiles on it. B or SELECT: cancel the current route or menu choice. R: switch between scroll and overview/zoom. START: pause; hold it in Stage mode to display the previous route. Edit mode: START advances to the next creation step, SELECT returns to the previous step, Control Pad changes puzzle height/width, and A/B changes tile type. The L/Control Pad/SELECT combination supports one-handed play.
