How to Play Prehistorik Man
Quick start
Choose GAME START and begin Stage 1, Jungle Steps. Head right and talk to the Village Elder, who teaches the GBA running input; continue toward the Goal Post while collecting food for the hungry village. Stomp or bounce from enemies to reach higher food, gather bones for shops, and inspect above and below the main route for gems and permanent upgrades. Running is essential for longer jumps: hold Up together with Left or Right, then press A at the edge. Save the scream for a crowded or dangerous stretch and only press R while the Scream Bar is flashing.
Controls
Control Pad Left/Right: move; Up: enter doors; Down: crouch and crouch-walk. Hold Up with Left/Right: run in the GBA version. A: jump. B: use the current weapon. R: scream only while the Scream Bar flashes. Hold L and use the Control Pad: look around the screen. START: pause. Inventions retain these inputs contextually: hold Jump to gain height on the pogo stick, and use Down/Up to dive and climb with the hang glider.
