How to Play Mendel Palace
Quick start
Use SELECT to choose one or two players and press START. Move to a house on the map with the D-pad and confirm with A or B. In a room, face the panel carrying a doll and flip it, then keep shuffling it toward a wall. Cross the centers of special panels to activate their effects. For simultaneous two-player play, both players choose the same house; choosing different houses gives alternating play. After a game over, START continues with cleared rooms retained.
Controls
D-pad: move in four directions and select a house on the map. A or B: flip the panel ahead; confirm a house. SELECT: choose the player count or join from the map. START: begin, pause, resume or continue after game over. In simultaneous two-player play, a player who has lost all lives can use SELECT to take a life from the partner when one is available.
Mendel Palace — About this game
Quinty makes the floor your weapon. A flip knocks a doll off balance and shoves it away, but you must drive it into a wall to finish the job. Getting close enough to affect the right panel without touching an enemy is the central challenge. Tiles can reveal stars, sweeping attacks, launchers and other effects, so the layout changes as you work through a room. Different dolls demand different tactics: some imitate your movements, others leap out of danger or draw on panels that you would rather keep usable. The Japanese story follows Carton rescuing his girlfriend Jenny from his sister Quinty and his older brothers, rather than the dream-world premise of Mendel Palace. You may tackle the eight outer houses in your chosen order. Collecting stars improves movement speed as well as earning extra lives, while a second player can join the panel-shuffling action.
