How to Play Mendel Palace
Quick start
Choose one or two players with SELECT, then press START to reach the house map. Pick a house using the D-pad and enter with A or B; House of Moko-Moko is a useful place to learn. Face an enemy’s panel, shuffle it and keep pushing the doll until it hits a wall. Try the special tiles instead of ignoring the changing floor. If CONTINUE appears after losing your lives, press START to resume.
Controls
D-pad: move and choose a house. A or B: shuffle a panel; enter the selected house. SELECT: choose one or two players. START: begin, pause, resume or continue while CONTINUE is displayed. If you lose all your lives in two-player mode and your partner still has lives available, SELECT lets you take one and return to play.
Mendel Palace — About this game
Candy’s toys have come to life in her dream, and Bon-Bon must defeat them to bring her back. Mendel Palace turns each room into a shifting tactical playground: flipping a panel sends a doll sprawling, and repeated pushes can crush it against a wall. Your position on a tile affects what you shuffle, making careful alignment more effective than simply hammering a button. Hidden panels can launch you into enemies, trigger sweeping flips, reveal a bonus stage or supply stars. The dolls also change the problem, from bouncing foes that avoid attacks in midair to artists who paint panels out of use. Collecting one hundred stars earns an extra life and improves your speed. The eight houses can be approached in your chosen order, with the central palace as the larger goal. A second player can help clear rooms, although competing for useful items may create a little rivalry.
