How to Play RoboCop 2
Quick start
Move the title-menu cursor with the direction pad, use SELECT to adjust options, then begin with START. Use a safe stretch to learn how far RoboCop slides, then try jumping with A. Attack ordinary opponents with B, keeping an eye on the portrait display so you do not shoot someone you should arrest. Touch the Nuke pickups along the route and approach the marked suspect to apprehend them. Slow down well before an edge, collect batteries when needed and check the patrol's objectives before committing to the exit.
Controls
Direction pad Left/Right: walk; Down: crouch. A: jump. B: attack at range or punch a nearby opponent. START: pause and resume. On the title menu, move with the direction pad and change settings with SELECT. Players take turns in two-player mode.
RoboCop 2 — About this game
The challenge in RoboCop 2 is controlling a heavy cyborg while doing the job properly. Floors and gaps demand careful braking because movement does not stop as soon as you let go of the direction pad. Meanwhile, the patrol tracks drugs destroyed and marked people apprehended, giving you a reason to inspect the route rather than rush past every encounter. A portrait warns you which suspect needs to be approached instead of shot. Extra weapons and batteries help with the fighting, but they do not replace completing the mission. An unsuccessful result can lead to a firing-range assessment. The two-player option passes the turn between players rather than offering simultaneous action.
