How to Play RoboCop 2
Quick start
Move through the title menu with the D-pad and use A to set the options, then choose START. Practice walking and braking before tackling narrow platforms. Press B to jump and A to attack, but stop firing when a marked arrest target approaches. Touch Nuke to destroy it and touch the identified suspect to make an arrest. Keep looking for mission objectives instead of heading straight to the exit. If sent to the firing range, shoot hostile targets and avoid civilians; the assessment is about accuracy as well as survival.
Controls
D-pad Left/Right: move; Down: crouch. B: jump. A: attack, using a punch at close range and gunfire at a distance. START: pause/resume. Title menu: D-pad selects items and A confirms; SELECT is unused. Two-player play alternates turns.
RoboCop 2 — About this game
RoboCop 2 makes police work part of its side-scrolling action. Reaching the exit is not enough: each patrol also measures the Nuke you destroy and the targets you arrest or rescue. Watch for the portrait that identifies an arrestable suspect and make contact instead of firing. Movement carries considerable momentum, so judging when to slow down matters as much as landing a shot. Batteries replenish energy, special weapons offer limited bursts of extra firepower, and unfamiliar machinery can turn a careless step into a lost life. A firing-range assessment may give an underperforming patrol another chance. Two players take turns rather than sharing the screen.
