How to Play Robopon 2: Ring Version
Quick start
At the title screen, choose New Game, then enter Cody's name and birthday. After waking in Baba Village, leave the house and visit Hoffman in the beach house to the right of the stairs; he gives you the Menuscrin Folder. Collect the Ion Battery from the dog, obtain the Cave Key through the red-haired boy and Nick D, then take the Sun and Moon Batteries from the locked cave. Spark two batteries to make your first Robopon, equip a compatible Part, and beat the easier right-hand beach guard before the left-hand guard to open the route to Hindo Town. Save from the in-game menu before leaving the village.
Controls
Field: use the + Control Pad to move, A to enter places, talk, inspect and confirm, and hold B to dash; L zooms out and R zooms in. Menus and battles: + Control Pad moves the cursor or selects an icon, A confirms, and B cancels (a spinning Battle Slot cannot be cancelled). The manual marks L, R, START and SELECT as unused on the battle screen; there is no separate battle-pause command documented.
