How to Play Robotech: The Macross Saga
Quick start
Create a pilot file, enter a name, then select Single Play on the Start Menu and choose a pilot. The first mission, Boobytrap, is to prevent the alien attackers from destroying Macross City and the SDF-1. Stay mobile, use the gunpod as your regular attack, save missiles for crowded or tougher targets, and change form to suit the space: Fighter for speed, Guardian for tighter and tougher fighting, and Battloid for ground boosting.
Controls
Veritech: move with the + Control Pad, fire the gunpod with A, fire missiles with B, transform with L/R, and pause with START; SELECT is unused. In Battloid form, B performs a boost/jump because missiles are unavailable. Destroid: + Control Pad moves, A uses the primary weapon, B uses the secondary weapon, START pauses, and L/R/SELECT are unused. Use the + Control Pad and A in menus.
