Start the story mode from the title and choose either Demon Eye Madness, Benitora, Yukimura Sanada, or Yuya Shiina. If you choose Demon Eye Madness, move Kyoshiro Mibu at the beginning and talk to Yuya Shiina to switch to Madness. In stage 1, your first goal is to move forward and defeat KENYO, destroy objects such as signboards to secure recovery items, and defeat the boss JIMON at the back. Keep moving so you don't get surrounded, use special moves when your energy gauge is full, and don't force attacks while the boss is guarding or using special moves.

Japanese version: Move in 8 directions with the cross button. B: Weapon attack, continuous attack with multiple hits. A: Jump. R: A special move that consumes the energy gauge. START: Pause menu (resume/end). Since the strategy materials contain a mixture of L and R special move descriptions, we have adopted the Japanese version of R specified in the official pre-release article, and do not include unconfirmed L-specific operations.
