How to Play Scurge: Hive
Quick start
Start a new game and, aboard Jenosa's ship, examine the glowing Alert control pad with A. Open the tutorial map with SELECT, go through the northeast hatch and inspect the next Alert Panel to continue the guided opening. Learn to jump while firing rather than standing still, then follow the station objectives as Jenosa investigates the distress signal and contains the Scurge infection. Visit decontamination rooms before the infection gauge becomes critical and explore side rooms for upgrades before advancing.
Controls
D-pad: move Jenosa in eight directions and navigate menus. A: jump, select, examine objects and advance conversations. B: fire the equipped weapon or cancel. R: cycle weapons. L: use the tether/gauntlet function after it is available. SELECT: open the tutorial/map display. START: open the main/pause menu. Weapon effectiveness depends on enemy type, so switch rather than exhausting one attack against resistant targets.
