Sonic CD — About this game
This development build preserves an unfinished version of the game; its content and presentation can differ from the retail release. Sonic explores branching stages on Little Planet, where signposts open routes into the past or future. Keeping his speed after touching a sign triggers a time warp, while searching the past for robot generators changes the future of that stage. Rings protect Sonic from a hit, and finishing an act with enough rings opens a special-stage opportunity. The adventure mixes speedy runs with deliberate exploration, a Metal Sonic rivalry and a rescue mission for Amy.
