How to Play Shaman King: Master of Spirits
Quick start
Begin a new game and take the grassy eastern exit from the central inn; the graveyard, poison cave and high ledge are initially blocked. Cross the first stage, defeat monsters with Yoh's wooden sword and collect spirit pages. New spirits provide abilities that open earlier barriers, so return to the world map and backtrack when a route appears impossible. Assign useful powers to L and R, keep healing available and save from the overworld menu before entering the next level.
Controls
D-pad moves, ducks and selects; Up enters doors and Down+A drops through suitable platforms. A jumps, advances text and confirms. B swings the sword and cancels. L/R uses the spirit equipped in that slot. SELECT switches spirit decks. START opens the level menu or the world-map Save, Status and Shop menu. On the map, select with the D-pad, enter with A, cancel with B, and hold L/R to pan.
