How to Play Shaman King: Master of Spirits
Quick start
Start a new game and leave the central inn through the grassy eastern route; the graveyard is blocked, the cave is poisoned and the bright ledge is initially too high. In the first stage, follow the straightforward path, defeat monsters with Yoh's wooden sword and collect the first spirit pages. When a new spirit opens a blocked route, return to the world map and revisit earlier stages rather than forcing the obstacle. Equip one active spirit to L and another to R, keep a healing spirit or item available, and save from the overworld menu before selecting the next level.
Controls
D-pad moves Yoh, ducks and selects options; Up enters doors and Down+A drops through eligible platforms. A jumps, advances dialogue and confirms. B attacks with the current sword and cancels. L and R activate the spirits equipped to those slots. SELECT switches between spirit decks. START opens the level menu; on the world map it opens Save, Status and Shop. On the map, D-pad selects a level, A enters, B clears the pointer, and holding L or R lets you look around.
