How to Play Smashing Drive
Quick start
Press Start at the title screen and begin with the Early Bird shift. Your immediate job is to deliver each passenger before the timer expires while also finishing ahead of the rival cab. Follow the route markers, drive through TIME EXTENDED gates, and learn the Risky Route shortcuts instead of staying on the longest streets. Pick up Turbo, Big Foot, and Cutter icons when they lie on a useful line; on the first runs, prioritize a clean shortcut and the clock rather than hitting every destructible object.
Controls
Use the +Control Pad to highlight menu choices and steer the cab. The default driving layout uses A to accelerate, B to brake and R to sound the horn; Start begins or pauses play. A confirms menu choices and B cancels. The GBA release lets you customise the gas, brake and horn assignments in Options, so check that screen if the default layout has been changed. Braking into a turn helps the cab skid around tight corners, while the horn moves traffic out of the way.
