How to Play Soccer Kid
Quick start
Select START GAME and begin in Soccer Kid's home-town section in England. Move right, kick the ball ahead to defeat enemies and open chests, and strike the nearby 'i' signs with the ball for stage hints. Reach the scene exit before time runs out. If you want the World Cup piece rather than only normal progress, explore above and below the direct route and collect all 11 soccer cards in the scene to qualify for its timed bonus game. Preserve your current ball when practical, because using fewer replacement balls increases the end-of-scene bonus.
Controls
Use Left/Right on the D-pad to run and Down to duck; press Down while running to slide. B jumps, and holding it produces a higher jump. A controls the ball: press it near the ball to kick or juggle, or stand still and hold A for about a second to summon a replacement ball. Press Down+A to drop through a thin platform. While airborne above the ball, press Down to land on it, then use the ball as a springboard for extra height. START pauses the game.
